My name is Kendra Mayfield and I am the owner/ founder of The Vintage Butterfly home decor and more! My love for decor and retail stems back all the way to my childhood with my mom.
One of my very favorite things to do with her was go shopping. Along with malls and department stores, we also loved to check out small boutiques and “mom and pop” shops. It was a chance to spend one-on-one time with my mom and also an opportunity to explore new treasures and be inspired by many of the places and things we visited. It was so fun to find “that perfect thing” we had been searching for and sometimes equally exciting to find inspiration for our home (or my bedroom).

These experiences and my love for architecture and interior design lead me to pursue that in my schooling and in my career. I attended ACU with a major in Interior Design and have worked numerous jobs in retail, furniture, merchandising, and design with and large and small businesses. All of these have been stepping stones to owning my very own retail store which opened October 2014. Every day, with the love and support of my family, husband, and two boys, I am able to do the job I love and hopefully bring the experiences I enjoyed as a child to many others!
